BMI Christian Music Awards: Nashville

First annual ceremony honoring the songwriters and publishers of the past year's most popular gospel songs. Dinner starts at 7:30 p.m. at the BMI Nashville office (10 Music Square East). BMI Vice President Paul Corbin and BMI Director Joyce Rice will host the awards ceremony, announcing the 30 songs which received the most airplay last year. Highlights include performances by Jennifer Knapp and the Crabb Family and the naming of the Songwriter, Publisher and the Most Performed Christian Song of the Year. Expected to attend (as of 6/20) are Steven Curtis Chapman, dc Talk's Michael Tait, Rebecca St. James, Donnie McClurkin, Jennifer Knapp, Audio Adrenaline's Bob Herdman, Mark Schultz, Aaron Wilburn, Newsong's Russ Lee and Eddie Carswell, Greater Vision's Rodney Griffin, and Jeff Steele.
