Songwriter-Producer Summit at the Urban Network Conference: Palm Springs, CA

Co-sponsored by BMI, this summitt is part of the 14th Annual Urban Network Conference being held May 5-9 at the Riviera Resort & Racquet Club (1600 N. Indian Canyon Drive). The panel will be held from 3pm-5pm in town-hall meeting fashion, featuring top and aspiring songwriters and producers talking about what labels are looking for, royalty structures for downloads, over-priced production fees, and the creative process at large. All BMI affiliates are invited free of charge to this session. BMI's Cheryl Dickerson will co-moderate the panel with EMI Music Publishing's Big Jon Platt. Other panelists include Famous Music Publishing's Chuck Bradley, Universal Music Publishing's Maani Edwards, BMG Music Publishing's Derrick Thompson, ASCAP's Jeanie Weems, SESAC's Trevor Gale, Geffen Records A&R Jaha Johnson, TVT Records A&R Bryan Leach, as well as producer/songwriters Richie Blayze, Keith Clarke (In A Zone Productions), Chase (Black Keys), Harold Lilly, Harvey Mason Jr. (The Underdogs), Jamey Jazz, and songwriter/artist Crea.
