      <content:encoded><![CDATA[<P>BMI Nashville recently hosted a special screening of <I>Mi Amigo</I>, a film written, directed and scored by Milton L Brown. "A warm-hearted, cowboy valentine to friendship, love, and fidelity," <I>Mi Amigo</I> made an April 2002 premier at the Palm Beach International Film Festival. Noted BMI TV and film composer Steve Dorff produced the film's musical score and soundtrack, which also features new songs by Thom Bresh, who composed "General Lee" for the hit 1980's series <I>The Dukes of Hazzard</I>, and <A id="f642" class="f642" href="/affiliate/C642">Alan Rhody</A>, writer of "Trainwreck of Emotion" (Lorrie Morgan). Songwriter Ed Bruce starred in <I>Mi Amigo</I> as Bobby Ray Burns, and also composed and performed tunes for the film's soundtrack. Bruce is a multiple BMI Country Award winner, and has written many hits including "Mamas Don't Let Your Babies Grow Up To Be Cowboys" (<A id="f356" class="f356" href="/affiliate/C356">Merle Haggard</A> & <A id="f574" class="f574" href="/affiliate/C574">Willie Nelson</A>). </P> <TABLE width="400" border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" align="center"> <TBODY><TR><TD> <DIV align="left"><FONT face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" size="2"><IMG src="/musicworld/musicpeople/200206/images/mi_amigo.jpg" width="400" height="222"><BR> Pictured at the<I> Mi Amigo</I> screening are Audio Productions' Travis Turk, Tom Morrison, BMI's Patsy Bradley, <a id='f2658' class='f2658' href='/affiliate/C2658'>Milton L. Brown earned BMI Country Awards for several hits, including "Lasso the Moon" (Gary Morris), "I Don't Think I'm Ready for You" (Anne Murray), and "Every Which Way But Loose" (Eddie Rabbit). Brown, who has a Certificate in Film from New York University's School of Continuing Education, wrote, produced and directed the 1992 documentary "Indian Blood," which debuted on WKRG-TV in Mobile, AL. "Indian Blood" has won numerous awards, including the prestigious CBS Excellence in Community Service Award in the Education and Culture category, and has been shown at festivals around the world. It is also being utilized nationwide in Native American education.</P>]]></content:encoded>
