BMI songwriter Bonnie Pointer of legendary singing group The Pointer Sisters, dropped by the Los Angeles office just in time to place the first ornament on ol' tannenbaum at the annual tree-trimming party. A prolific songwriter, Pointer left the group for a solo career and had her biggest hit with the 1978 disco classic, "Heaven Must Have Sent You."
