The luncheon was held at Tavern On The Green in New York City. Twenty-nine Local Market Winners of the 27th Annual Gracie Allen Awards were also honored at the sold-out luncheon. The Gracies are presented by the Foundation of AWRT, the philanthropic arm of the organization, which supports and promotes charitable programs, educational projects, public service campaigns, mentoring and other activities. </p> <p align="left">&#8220;AWRT is dedicated to the advancement of women in the broadcast media,&#8221; commented Joan E.       <content:encoded><![CDATA[<p align="left">The rafters at BMI's Nashville offices were ringing when new gospel quartet <a id='f2633' class='f2633' href='/affiliate/C2633'>CrossWay</a> performed during a reception celebrating the release of their album <i>No Distractions</i> on Spring Hill Music.</p> <p align="left">CrossWay, originally from Ripley, Mississippi, consists of Chris Weaver (bass), Paul Smith (baritone), Marty Hurt (lead) and Casey Cappleman (tenor). Now based in Nashville, the group has been perfecting their harmonies since they began singing together in 1998. For the past few years, CrossWay's travels have spread beyond Mississippi to several regions of the country.
