<dc:subject>Young Trimm, Urban, On The Scene</dc:subject>

From the rich musical soil of East Point, Georgia, comes the latest undeniable phenomenon to emerge on the rated next radar. After years on his ‘grind’ cultivating and perfecting his craft, Charleston, SC born, East Point, Georgia bred Dominique Smalls aka Young Trimm is poised and ready to take on the rap game.

Although he is only twenty one years old, Trimm is far from a novice act. He began rapping at age fifteen, rhyming in freestyle battles during school; eager to spit a “hot sixteen” at every opportunity. After two years of verbally assassinating his competition, Trimm left school and set out to pursue music full-time. In the process, he welcomed his first son, which in turn changed his outlook and responsibilities from rapper to father. “I do my thing lyrically, but I don’t talk about selling dope,” he insists, “I ain’t knocking what a n*gga do, but there are other ways to make it happen, especially with a child in your life.”

Trimm eagerly set about paying dues, performing at talent shows and showcases throughout GA. The young lyricist soon developed a loyal fan base and became a favorite on the underground circuit. Though his reputation was spreading throughout the infamous ATL underground music scene, Trimm knew he needed the right team behind him in order to get to the next level.

Hard work never goes unrequited and Trimm’s answer came in the form of a chance meeting with Battery 5 CEO/Beat Broker Gregory “Big Tyme” Smith. “I immediately liked his swagger,” states Smith. “As the manager of an up and coming production house, I felt that a relationship between Trimm and Battery 5 could prove a perfect fit for both sides.”

Smith’s intuition was on point and the combination of Battery 5’s eclectic creativity and Trimm’s vocal swagger resulted in a chemistry that proved light years ahead of its time. Battery 5 made the young emcee their flagship project and propelled Trimm to another dimension musically and artistically. “It’s a blessing I get to work with four different producers from four different genres; that brings a lot out of you as an artist. I’ve matured a lot since working with them,” Trimm explains.

With his current singles ‘Got so Many’ and ‘Turn it Up’ creating a frenzy throughout the south, Trimm is eager to show his fans a much needed breath of fresh air on the southern music scene.

With the work ethic of a natural born hustler, the innovation of a progressive thinker and his thus-far unmatched lyrical prowess, Trimm is destined to be one of the brightest rated next southern artists on the road to super-stardom, by way of East Point, GA.
