<a id='f1558' class='f1558' href='/affiliate/C1558/'>John Roccio</a> &#8211; Most noted for heading the group Cathexis, this Fairfield, CT transplant&#8217;s music was further developed by the influence of New Orleans culture, and after becoming immersed in the local New Orleans music scene, Cathexis headed overseas and settled in London, developing a fan-base and playing shows all over Europe. <a id='f1378' class='f1378' href='/affiliate/C1378/'>Dakota</a> &#8211; Dakota is made up of Ohio born singer &amp; acoustic guitarist Michelle Hemmer and Georgia born singer Claudette Powell. The band fuses together Michelle&#8217;s mid-western pop roots and Claudette&#8217;s southern country &amp; blues background to create a highly original, catchy sound that blends intricate harmonies and hook-heavy melodies. <a id='f1379' class='f1379' href='/affiliate/C1379/'>Louis Yoelin</a> &#8211; This L.A. based singer-songwriter was the 1st place winner of the 2003 Unisong International Songwriting Contest in the Rock Category for his piece &#8220;Won&#8217;t You Let Me Pet Your Dog,&#8221; and has recently completed his master&#8217;s in music composition from UCLA.
