Charles S. Feldman, Vice President, Writer/Publisher Relations, New York

As Vice President, Writer/Publisher Relations, New York, Charlie Feldman directs all writer/publisher relations and administration activities in BMI’s New York office, including the company’s concert music, theatre and jazz departments.

Feldman joined BMI in 1988 as Senior Director, Writer/Publisher Relations, was promoted to Assistant Vice President in that department in July 1990, and Vice President in 1991. He was previously with EMI Music, most recently as Vice President of EMI-Nashville. Prior to joining EMI Music, he was a songwriter signed to Muscle Shoals Music.

Feldman is a past President of the New York chapter of the National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences (NARAS) and was previously a chapter trustee. In 2006, he was again elected New York chapter President. Feldman also serves as a Vice Chairman of the Entertainment and Music Division of the UJA-Federation and is on the board of the Songwriters’ Hall of Fame. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Alabama in 1971.
