Ron Solleveld, Senior Vice President, International

Ron SolleveldAs Senior Vice President, International, Ron Solleveld oversees BMI’s international activities, with special emphasis on the company’s relationships with foreign performing right societies.  Through reciprocal agreements, these organizations collect royalties for American songwriters when their music is played in other countries. 

Along with overseeing the day-to-day operations of BMI’s International department, Solleveld represents BMI in the International Confederation of Societies of Authors and Composers (CISAC, the worldwide association of music copyright societies). 

Solleveld joined BMI as Vice President, International in 2002 and was named Senior Vice President in March 2003.  He was promoted to his current position in March 2003.  Prior to joining BMI, he held executive positions at divisions of PolyGram, Sony and BMG companies in the U.S., Canada and Europe and positions with Chappell Music and Intersong Intl., as well as CBS Songs and RCA Records.

A native of Holland, Solleveld holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Nijenrode University, the Netherlands.  He also is a graduate of the Ecole Internationale de Langue in Paris and holds advanced degrees in marketing and finance from Kent State University.
