Phillip R. Graham, Senior Vice President, Writer/Publisher Relations

Phillip R. GrahamAs Senior Vice President, Writer/Publisher Relations at BMI, Phillip R. Graham directs and oversees the Writer/Publisher activities in BMI’s seven offices: New York, Los Angeles, Nashville, Atlanta, Miami, London and San Juan. Graham’s staff works to support and advance the careers of songwriters, composers and publishers who license their works through BMI.

Prior to working with BMI, Graham worked for CBS Records in Nashville, as well as with retail and record manufacturing companies.  After joining BMI in 1979, he worked for seven years in BMI’s Nashville Writer/Publisher Relations department.  He then relocated to London in 1987 as Director of European Writer/Publisher Relations.  He was named Vice President in 1991 and Senior Vice President in 2003.  Later in the year, he moved to BMI’s headquarters in New York City, where he currently is based.

A native of Evansville, IN, he received a Bachelor’s degree in business administration from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN.
