BMI-Sponsored Next Big Nashville A Rousing Success

Nashville's role as the hub of contemporary country music earns the bulk of attention from the rest of the world, but adventurous Next Big Nashville successfully exposes Music City's other side: A vibrant pop-rock scene brimming with trendsetters. The five-day event hinged on a musical buffet of over 130 bands at key Nashville venues.

BMI proudly sponsored the second annual Next Big Nashville, presenting a brunch at Cabana Saturday, September 8, and a showcase to cap it off that night at Exit/In. A stout lineup including The Last Goodbye, Britten, Pico vs. Island Trees, Dixie Dirt, Gabe Dixon Band and Cage the Elephant supplied uniquely delicious onslaughts of music, while the thick crowd and presence of Beatle Bob assured attendees they had chosen their Saturday night plans wisely.
